The Fund Takes the Next Step, and a Roughcut at BronyCon

Two important piece of news to report today.  Firstly, we have taken the next big step with the Thank You Fund, by filing our form 1023 with the IRS.  Within 4 to 12 months, if things go according to plan, we will become the first Brony tax-exempt charity, able to accept tax-deductible donations of goods and money.  We'll keep you up to date on the progress of our filing.  It's important to note that with the filing, we are now allowed to inform potential donors that if we are granted 501(c)(3) status, their donations will become retroactively tax-deductible to the amount allowed by law.

The other news is that we want to announce a chance to see a rough-cut of the Thank You ad at BronyCon.  At the end of the "Studying the Herd" panel, running at 4PM on Sunday, I'll be screening the current cut of the ad for anyone who happens to be in the room.
